Community Training Offerings
Community training offerings, facilitated by the Doorway Project and its partners, focus on enhancing the safety and well-being of the University District through a range of skill-building initiatives. These trainings cover critical areas such as de-escalation, harm reduction, and naloxone administration, equipping participants with practical tools to handle challenging situations compassionately and effectively. Past partners include ROOTS Young Adult Shelter and Narcare. Through these and similar offerings, the Doorway Project and its partners aim to foster a more resilient and supportive community by providing accessible and relevant training opportunities. In the near future, Doorway plans to offer more consistent trainings focused on harm reduction, safety planning, the Healing Centered Engagement (HCE) model, and service provider preparation.
