Community Advisory Board
The Doorway Project’s Community Advisory Board (CAB) is a group made up of young adults with lived experiences of houselessness, UW representatives, and other community service providers and and advocates who serve this population. Young adult participants receive paid compensation for participating in the two-hour Doorway Project CAB meetings and related activities. The CAB helps guide and develop the Doorway model based on best practices and input from the community, ensuring that voices of youth and young adults experiencing houselessness in the U District are centered throughout every step of the process.
